OLD boat motor


I have an old boat motor with a rudder, shaft, bearing and propeler but I dont know what it is...

Default OLD boat motor

I have an old boat motor with a rudder, shaft, bearing and propeler but I dont know what it is could someone help identifiy this thing. It is going to auction on Sept 10 and I could use some help. Will try to post a pic but if it does not come through, EMAIL at johnwhitacre@verizon.com

Looks like it's in the Detroit, Caille, Termat& Monihan family. I think Detroit had three holes in the flywheel, T&M had four.

on picture #2 what is that writing on that 4-bolt acess panel say.it,s painted red?

I think it says American Engine Co Detriot MI but I will have to verify that
