Default What kind of engine is this?

Someone sent me this photo of an engine in Oxford, NC, taken 15 years ago. Guess the engine is long gone. Was just wondering if someone could tell me what kind it is? Thanks.

The bottom picture is a tank cooled Mogul sideshaft and the top pic I'm not sure on but my guess is a early Foos by the way the crankshaft is made
