Default witte ?

has anyone seen a witte with a wico mag in the flywheel
the seral # is 95587u special . the mag number is36117 type fg b
any ideal what year it is , the mag dose not work , but it runs fine on a buzz coil and battery. i tryed to post a pic but the file is to large ,and cant figure out how to reduce it . thanks ron brown in central il

You have just described a Witte Type "U" engine and it was only made in 1-1/2 hp. This engine model started in the 1930's but no definite production dates are available for this engine.

These are real nice "small" engines and run quite well.

Flywheel mag and the aircooled head. Interestin'!

When was it made? Horsepower, etc.

I too thought it was quite interesting. According to the BRB, they were available in the 1930's.
