Default Bale Forks for Barn haymows (off topic)

Does anyone have experience with forking hay/straw bales into a barn with a track and carrier? We have been using an Olson carrier and bale fork which were made in Albert Lea, MN. We take a layer of 8 bales off the rack at a time. I am just wondering if there were any better or bigger forks made for this. It seems to be a lost art as most people around here that still put up hay or straw in barns use elevators and conveyors. I bought new rope last year and am committed to keep doing it the old way. Besides, when the bales stay on the fork it works out better than using an elevator.

Are there any good web sites that cover barns, carriers, and other old farm ect?
