after the guy's that my dad hired to put a new roof on the garage/shop, yesterday, when they got done with the new roof, today, i had to clean the gutters and the inside of the garage, and guess what we found....a 30's maybee mid to late 30's ford sun visor! kinda makes a little sence that it was there up in the rafters were i had to clean aswell becouse, during the 30's and 40's, the guy that lived here before us use to do truck work for the milk company he worked for, there for he did the work in the garage that we now own, the guy has been gone for years but there is still traces were he had all kinds of tools and possibly machinery to do the truck maintenence work, this house and shop has been here sence 1935 i think, i guess when he moved out and we moved in, he must have forgoten this part was still in the garage, there is nothing wrong with the visor, little scuffed though, most of all, dirty.
dont want to sell it though, im keeping it as a gift you might say.
even has a little writing on it and it's still readable, just like the day it was wrote, what ever the writing means. it has numbers to so maybee he was figuring prices or something to fix one of the trucks? has someones name on it too. it's not the name of the guy that lived here though, his name was Gary. i forgot his last name, i know it starts with a H. i think. if i remember right. ALSO, the chain fall i have been using for 13 years now to pull tractor engines, i have found that he left that here, he use to use that to pull the old ford engines, at first i didn;t think it was old, i knew it was old but not that old, come to find out, sence i found the old ford sun visor i started snooping around a bit, even though i have been working in the garage now for 13 years, and found that, that chain fall is older than i thought!
year 1923! and still has some original paint aswell. i dont know the make of it, cant remember, i'd have to look again but it was red on the outside and black on the inner side of the chain fall mechanism assyembly, it's a 1 and half ton chain fall, all steel and iron, ball bearing in the steel wheels or rollers. and has the old I beam to it and every thing. like i say, i didn't think the chain fall was that old but boy am i suprised! i think i'll have a diferent veiw of the shop from now on!

some changes have been made around here but not much were you cant still tell about the history of it. all of this, TO ME was perty intresting so thought i'd share it with you guys. Whatchya think!?
