Default Panningen 2005 impressions.

Hi All.

Put some impressions together of our historical festival at Panningen
past long weekend. We had a good show, alas the Sunday was rainy,
but it didn't hurt the visitors and all the members that were on display.
This time no many rare ss engines, those guys were showing their stuff
in France at a great show.
Enjoy them, they can be seen at:

Dear John

I was at Panningen too on the Saturday - what an incredible day! I wish that I had two days though as there was so much to see. Do you have any idea what the special theme will be next year?

Best wishes

David

Glad you liked it Dave, yes it's great to see it all, even I didn't see everything while I was there from Friday to Monday morning. I met lots of friends and had to talk about engines and on the other hand I had to watch my running engines ( fortunately my wife has some engine experience ) so I can leave my display very often .
Don't know yet what it will be next year, but following the cyclus, I guess it's an engine of some kind.
Take care,

John, I was hoping to get the serial numbers of the two big Mogul tractors owned by Harry Wilms. I meant to do it while I was at the show but in the end I forgot with all the excitement, rain, etc. Do you happen to have this info or know where I can find out? Otherwise I'll just have to wait until next year!!

All the best

David

Don't know the serial #, but that big one is born in 1911 and the other in 1908.

Hi John,
some wonderful pics of some great engines. Ive been looking at alot of European Shows/Rallys recently and I've noticed it is very common for the grass not to be mowed and in some cases is quite high.

Over the other side of the world we Convicts (Australian's) must have got confused with the British/European eticate for having a Rally or show... ground not mowed would be like (for the Americans) awarding a Maytag best overall engine at Portland this year!!! I am sure there is a logical explanation for this!!!!!

Kind regards,
Roo
