I'm about ready to drill the holes in the concrete floor, level and anchor it down. I can't imagine a 5000 pound tool will go far, but, they are pretty specific about bolting it to the floor. I put the precision level on it and it looks like it is only going to take about .040" to get it level. To drain the main oil reservoir you remove a 1" pipe cap that is directly above the main motor pully, than catch 4 gallons of oil without getting it all over the pully and belts. Right, sure thing . I sucked it out through the filler and then installed a ball valve on the drain. Now all I have to do to drain it is add an extension pipe and turn the valve.

Default question about my K&T M 2H mill

Hello all,

Been scraping years of crud off of my mill. It's a Kearney & Trecker Milwaukee 5 Hp 2H Plain. Serial number 37-5562. Just above the main motor pully I found what looks a lot like a date in the main column casting, 3 7 46. date? This seems about the right time frame for this machine. Anybody know if this is actually the casting date?

Thanks,
keithw
