There was an ad in GEM to place an order, I think it said there was going to a limited run and the should start coming out in August I think. I got my order in early

Yes, July GEM had a ad on page 61 for a reprint of the original for 50 bucks postpaid with the hard cover. I saw an original go for 200 US on ebay this week so it will be a great investment for 50 bucks. Dale

I guess maybe a better question might be; "Will the price go up after the initial preorder?" As in, if I don't pre order or my order goes in late, will the price go up? Is this a one-shot deal or what? I have an envelope ready to go, just hard to find that $50 to cram in there what with medical bills and an engine restoration in the works at the same time....

jebaroni, I would say you are taking an unwise gamble. In my opinion, the author is doing a BIG FAVOR to print a limited quantity to satisify a rather limited demand. Anyone who questions price, quality or future availability does so at thier risk. Chuck is well know, and very well respected scolar in engine community. I never meet him, but thats the word. If he was stuck with extra copies, I'd buy another just as a favor. Meanwhile, I dont need one; so, I am giving others a chance . Later, I may order a spare anyway. I believe-this is a ONE TIME LIMITED PRINITING. Have you seen this book? Its a must have.

I'm not sure if there is a difference between the red or yellow books, I was lucky enough to get a red copy before they all dried up a few years ago..

I did happen to send Chuck a check for two yellows the day he posted it here on the Stack ! My son will want one long before I'm done with mine
and one in the shelf is never a bad idea in my book..

The yellow edition is an early printing, the biggest differance is that the yellow book is printed on heavier paper stock then the red book. Kevin

I believe the red book is a copy of the yellow book and the pictures aren't as clear in the red one because of it. At least that's what I've heard. I ordered half dozen of the yellow books the day that the ad came out in GEM to make sure I got mine and plenty of them

What does BYB stand for? I have the original yellow book. Was this book revised when the red one came out?
