Question Lister power plant

I am working on a Lister 4.5 KVA power plant that has the factory Lister guage panel. The panel has a Voltmater and Ampmeter mounted in a large steel box. Internally there is a distribution block for all connections to the plant and the load. Besides the guages there is a momentary switch and what appears to be mounts for 2 fuse, that are attached to the voltmeter. one of the 'fuses is missing, and the voltmeter is not working. Are these items indeed fuses, or are they resisters for the voltmeter? If they are resisters, does any one know the value, so I can obtain a replacement? Is Lister stillm in business? I am trying to get info on the generater wiring, and the paperwork I have seems to be incomplete. The unit has casting dates from the early 1940s and the plant itself was manufactured in 1968 The engine is an 8 HP Deisel. On the engine there is a selenoit that seems to be related to the operation of the engine compression. Does any one know how this is to be wired to the generater? It is not mentioned in the generater handbook I have. Thanks in advance for the help.
Andrew

Yes lister is still in business try a search for lister-petter for a dealer in your area. I have dealt with a dealer in VA. named Blue Ridge Diesel 1-800-476-0456. Any time you are inquiring about your generator you need to provide Model# ,Spec#, Serial# or any other id number or letters you can find. Lister as well as Onan, kholer, briggs and many other companys have made to many different models and id numbers are a must!!! in order to make sure you get the right info or parts.
