Just re-checked e-bay again...It's an "R" mag that has the correct gear and it will not turn.(needs to be cleaned) ..item #7540222180..current price is $35.00, which ain't bad if you can get it for that! ...There IS an "RV" mag listed, but it doesn't have a gear with it.

Here is my Model Z 1-1/2h.p. Mine has the Bosch AB33 Mag. my engine is dated to 1923 and it is my understanding that they used the AB33 mag in the beginning and it was expensive for Fairbanks so thats why they made the R1 mag to replace the AB33 mag. not sure of the year that that happened.

Hi Bill, My engine is dated 1930 and has the R mag. My mag was stuck when I got it. I took it apart and cleaned the tar/insulation out and it was free. I'm posting some pics. Email me if you want more or larger pics. Also, check the archives, there are quite a few threads on this and the dishpan engine.
