Photo Christening of "old Milwaukee"

Hello all,

After having it here for over a year I finally have the old K&T Milwaukee up and running. I decided to purchase a rotary phase converter rather than build my own. The folks who helped with unloading it from my trailer, moving it into the shop and setting it up were invited over for a little coming out party. I clamped a can of "Old Milwaukee" beer into the table and proceded to open it with my 4" face mill, very satisfying. After cleaning up the mess I surfaced an old iron cylinder head that had an unfortunate crack in it. First a .002 cut, then .005, then .010, and finally .020. The heaviest cut was effortless and the finish is wonderfull.

BTW, for the safety concerned, this is the last time an alchoholic beverage will be in the same room with the machine running. I still have all my fingers and plan to keep it that way.
