Default Rock Island cart

Has anybody seen a 1 1/2 hp Rock Island mounted on its original cart with the flywheels on the front steering (handle) end? Brought home one recently from Portland that was mounted this way but didn't seem right with most of the weight to the front on the steering truck. However all holes line up perfectly on the plank with Rock Island trucks. Even still has the marks in the plank from the original gas tank which was mounted on the head side of engine. No extra holes in plank from engine being turned around. There is no question that plank is original with this engine. Only thing missing is the handles that would have been placed at each end of plank, but holes are there. Any thoughts on this appreciated. kevin

I mount mine that way which lets the handle lay on the ground to the rear of the engine to eliminate a tripping hazard while showing. Bill Miller
