Dial-up users: speed up screen displays...
Enginads or Smokstak: On the main index page. If there are sections that you've already seen or don't need, there is an up/down arrow or a +/- over at the right side of the separator bars. Click that and you will expand or shrink that particular section, saving the download time for that section.
Smokstak: go to: UserCP (SETTINGS) > Edit Options > Thread Display Options > and uncheck Show Images (including attached images and images in [IMG] code.) Doing so will cause all attachments to be represented as clickable links rather than images. The only time you will wait for a photo to show is when you click one. You can also unclick "Show Avatars" and "Show Signatures" at the thread display options section of your control panel. -- Harry |
