Default Photos of old boats with antique inboards?

Does anyone have photos of old inboard marine engines in boats, ie., early 1900, 14 to 18 foot wood boats with engines such as a Gray marine, Model U, 1 cylinder, etc.? Would like to see how they were mounted, the trannys, prop shaft through transom, etc. Thanks, Tom

Not to helpful, but this is a nice little skiff I took pictures of almost 30 years ago. One pic lets you see how the prop & rudder were handled on Jersey skiffs.

I should have said that this is really done the same today as it was then. Bolt everything to the engine beds, engine coupling to shaft coupling alligned to .003", typical stuffing box thought the bottom/deadwood, & put the prop on (need a strut if there is much exposed shaft). REmember that a boat is really 'pulled' throught the water by the engine mounting bolts & engine beds, so they need to be sturdy.

Ned, Thanks for the photos. Neat old boat!
Gives me something to think about, and
an idea of what kind of boat to look for.

Just received a diagram that Wendell Lewis, Jr. was kind enough to send me.
It shows detail of an engine mounted in a boat, with the Instalation of a Dorey Shaft Haul-Up, drawn 1919 from the Lunenburg Foundry Co. of Novia Scotia.
