Default Source of Deutz Info if possible

Hi.....

Last weekend I was asked if I knew where to get information for what is said to be a Deutz engine. It is located on a family property someplace deep in Mexico and they want to try to get it running again. Unfortunately the family doesn't have the internet available.

I would be making someone very happy if anyone can verify that this is a Deutz, what model it is and a possible source of written information as in instruction manual, parts list, etc. I know it's a long shot but I do like to make people happy if I can. Just looking at the picture I suspect it is a deisel.

Thanks for any help,
Larry Evans

Hey Larry I have two pictures for you of these Deutz engines, I took them at a show, but alas I have no info about them or know what type it is. The one with the pump is a 1927 one.

I have a small horizontal Deutz and I contacted the factory direct via e-mail. They were more than happy to supply me with all the details abut my engine, once they had the serial number. The serial number on my machine was hard to track down, but I eventually found it on the seating face of one of the removable side plates. May be worth removing them to see if you can find a number. There is also a dating page here:-
http://www.maschinenmuseum.de/deutz/Deutz_nr.htm

Hope this has been some help.

Cheers,
Martin H

Larry:

You need to contact Wouter Van Gulik in the Netherlands. John Hammink may have his email address, or I will have it at home (I am at work today) I'll check and drop details to you later.

Larry his web site can be find at:
http://www.stationairemotoren.nl/

When you look at the manual page, you will
find for the Deutz OME117 & OME122 and I
think this is the one you're looking for.
The site is in English too ( easy for you ).

These engines were called the "Blue Deutz".

Gentlemen,

Thank you all very much. Looks like I can begin to gather some information about this engine for the owner and who knows, maybe it will run again.

Thanks again,
Larry Evans
