Hey Marty the Cam shaft runs on a Brass Bushing So I am guessing some heat and some lube should Get er loose.. Ed has all the bushings so they are replaceable.. Lata

The heat is what I am worried about??? Do I have to be really really careful with the brass bushing that is in the block (cam bushing)? I have 2 of these cams to get out and I would really like to save them both and use them , Marty

Every 1 1/2 JD Cam Bushing I have seen is Junk and needs replacement I dont believe they are to spendy from ol Hit n Miss... The bushing wears out and ruins the cam gear after a while...

6hp;

If I'm not mistaken, the threads on that cam is lefthand. I'm not real sure about that, it's been awhile since I have had one apart, but something in there is lefthand.
