Question Atlas Lathe Year?

I have an Atlas 6" lathe that I am wondering what year it is? I have looked on the net and can't find a listing, does someone know if there is such a listing?

Thank you,

Jeff Smith

There is a Yahoo Group devoted to the Atlas/Craftsman tools. I don't see a list of years of manufacture there. You might want to give it a lookover though.

Yahoo Atlas Craftsman Group

I also have one of the Atlas 6 inch lathes, haven't a clue as to when it was made. I figure late 60's early 70's?

You may want to go to http://owwm.com/ and check out the literature for the Atlas Press Co.

Go to this site and you may find what you are looking for. Clausing now owns Atlas. Parts are available for your lathe.

I too have a 6" Atlas lathe; I bought it brand new from the factory; send along the model number in this thread and if it matches mine, I'll look up my purchase date. Karl
