I thought others might find this unusual water motor interesting.

"The Red Rim" Made by CM Huntington , East Randolph New York.

It has not likely been used much as part of it is wood and in excellent condition. The blue paint is original.

Yes , I've run it on our house garden hose. Probably not a ideal arrangement. The output is very slight . I don't think it could do much work , at least with the a water supply I used .

Hi guys,
I have to ask the question having never seen a "water engine" before, what a neat unit by the way!.

I can appreciate how it works by having an impellar over which the water moves and the weight or force causes the power to make it run. I guess you could almost call it a turbine.

But anyways where would you use something like that? of that size above, it doesnt look to large. I think water wheels I think huge wheels on the side of flour or grain mills in england!

Being again from the picture so small how do you get the volume and or pressure of water into it?

Di-hydronas oxide what a wonderful fuel!

Cheers,
Roo
