Default Stromberg OF carb?

Hello all,

Picked up a Stromberg OF carb at a yard sale. It's about 1" bore side draft. It looka to have an accelerator pump also. Anyone have an idea what it was originally fitted to? Did my normal Google search and came up empty.

Thanks,
keithw

I'll check our master catalogue tonight, that has Zenith/Solex/Stromberg carbs going back to the 1930's, but in Europe they were best known for their 1960's constant-vacuum units that sold opposite the SU carbs.

Might be something there, I'll post back later.

Nothing that old, I'm afraid, but there is a Stromberg 'O' picture in our carb section on the website. That is updraft type, which may be why the 'F' is added to the type letter of your own carb, I don't know without finding a valid picture or book.

URL is at:

If I find anything, I'll shout.

Interesting picture. Several similar details to mine. Mine has an accelerator pump so it might be newer. That would also suggest that it might have been fitted to a car or truck.

That is a Model T accessory carb, they seem to fetch a good price.

Thanks for the info . The guy I purchased it from said something about a Ford model A or T. I looked in my old motors manual and found that it wasn't OEM. Being an aftermarket replacment explains that. Thanks again for the help.
