I have a 4 HP OilWell. My engine has a Wico R1 mag, is hit miss and air cooled. I will help you all I can. Is your engine running or in need of repair?

Doug, cannot make it to OK this weekend you and Tom are on your own.
I still need to get down your way and check out your stuff though.
The engine is loose, and complete with the exception of oilers and a hot tube orfice.
I will post a pic when after my camera battery charges.
I do have these questions:

1. Should the mains have grease cups or oil cups or a drip oiler on each side,
2. Should the oil tube for the rod and crank journal have a wick on it or does it just drop the oil right on the rod?

Thanks all.

The mains have oil wells under them. So there should be chains on the crank to pick oil out of the mentioned wells. As to the rod I just let the oil drip into the trough on the con-rod,it works well. They are a very well built engine.
