Thumbs down Re: Don't Try This at Home!

Many years ago, a guy in my town put his car up on cinder blocks - 2 tiers high. he was trying to remove the engine, flywheel. He was pulling on a 2 foot breaker bar, and one of the blocks desintergrated. The imbalance broke the others, and the car fell on the owner - driving the breaker bar straight down thru his chest, and pinning him under the car. His wife heard a strange noise, but paid it no mind. Half an hour later, she went to tell hubby lunch was ready, and found him pinned. Local rescue squad got him out, but he was severly injured. (the breaker bar missed his heart by 1/2", and kept the car chassis from fully crushing him.) He survived for 2 years, finally dying from complications from the injury.
Work safe fellows. An extra 2 minutes putting up some safe blocking, may save a life - maybe your own!!!
Andrew
