Default 15hp Reid Info

I would like to know the bore and stroke of both the cylinders on a 15 hp reid. Also if the cast iron oilers were used on all parts needing drip oiled or just the power cylinder and the rod bearing. All the restored engines I see have glass /brass oilers on charge cylinder and main bearings. Is this factory installed? Thanks, Jim..

They use motor oil in every hole . All cast is harder to get busted up by pumpers , kids , and hail ...... the OEM Reid units are thusly made . As to wether they sold their own glass oilers , I will have to defer to a ~real~ guru . But you will find every kind of oiler under the sun screwed into em . Including an optional lolipop oiler set up for the side rod which is a really neat piece of monkey motion .

Kerogas, Thanks for the info. What is a Lollipop oiler and how do they operate? Were they standard on a Reid? Thx. Jim.

Reid catalogs show both solid brass and brass & glass oilers.
