Does anyone get a thing called "Winfixer" that keeps on bobbing up offering to scan your computer for free, and when you try to cancel it it just goes ahead and does it anyway. When the window pops up it has a windows logo across the top, or am I just plain lucky.
Does any of you wizz kids any ideas on how I can squash this damn bug,I Emailed microsoft with no result.

You can get virus information and a security scan at this site:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/

Some of these things are quite hard to extract from your computer. You delete them and they reinstall themselves from another system file in your computer.

Make sure that you are getting help from a trusted site and be double certain before installing code from them to "test" your computer.
