Default lincwelder 225

Hi all. Just inherited a lincwelder 225 and it looks like it needs a bit of an overhaul. trying to find a repair manual with torque specs and such and an operators manual too. It appears to be made about '74 from what i've researched so far but not 100%. anybody know how to tell the exact year of this model or have the manuals that I can download I'd appreciate it.

As well the engine on this needs to be gone over too. It appears to be an onan ccka but unsure of the year or if that even matters. The only numbers that I found were on the head stamped in...746748. Anyone that has an operators manual and a repair manual with torque settings, spark plug gap, etc. etc. would appreciate it if I could get a downloadable copy. As well if anyone nows how to tell more info. on the engine (year made and such) would appreciate an answer for that too. Thanks in advance.

I got a manual for mine from my local lincoln dealer. Onan parts are avalible fron most RV dealers. I have got points etc. from the local NAPA parts store. Hope this helps, Kevin.

Onan Corporation
1400 73rd Avenue N.E.
Minneapolis,MN 55432

I think that this is still the current address . I have gotten manuels from them before. They once sent me a manuel for a 1940's Fairbanks-Morse generator. They will charge you for the material.

I have 3 of these machines with the onan motors. I got the owners manual from lincoln's website, the service and parts manuals I bought off ebay. They are good machines, the onan parts are very expensive though. Believe it or not I own my own mobile business and make a living off these old machines. I will be retiring them sometime next year and getting a new ranger. If one of the onan motors goes down it would cost me just as much to rebuild it as a new ranger 250 costs.
