Benny: Thermosyphon is OK, but I like moving parts. Like a piston pump and water flowing over a screen on the tank. It looks better for show. Is it correct, NO , but that's my opinion .

Question Re: New to me IHC 3 hp

Paul,Where is the gas tank on this engine? Most IHC's I have seen are in the base but this engine has no holes coming out of the base.

Hi Benny,If there are no holes(would have 3) in the base then the engine was set up as a Victor which had a remote feul tank for use in a building.Parts may have been changed on you engine could be why it has a famous side cover plate.Rob

Thanks a bunch Rob the mystery is coming together now.The adjusting screw on the carb is all messed up and I just ordered a new one from Starbolt.I filled the hole in the carb about 1 1/2 from the end with JB Weld and when it dries I will tap it out to match the original.Does anyone have any suggestions if the JB does not work other than buy a new carb (350.00) wow Thanks all
