Default Worthington marine engine?

Hi all

I have a Worthington engine built in Buffalo, NY. We saved it from scrapping some 7 years ago. At that time it served to drive an emergency generator for a lifting bridge. I am told that this engine came to Europe in a submarine, but don't know if this is right. The exhaust manifold is water cooled. The engine has 150 BHP at 700 rpm and is a 5-cyl. Weight about 8 metric tonnes.

We have coupled it to a Gardner compressor and it runs great.

Can anyone give more information on this engine?

Thanks, best regards

Marcel

Wothington Pump & Machinery Co. Buffalo N.Y. I believe was credited with making the first American Horizontal diesel engine in 1913.
