Does anyone know anything about a Wind Wheel engine model K330COF. It seems to be a Kohler K330 modified for oil pumping with a large wing spoked flywheel and large base/oil sump and Wico mag and Clutch simular to a Wisconsin.
Thanks |

Check in the Stak archives - I seem to remember that there was a thread on these engines last year.

Howdy,
The "Wind Wheel" (thus the fan blades cast into the flywheel) built in Centralia Ill. is one of the few engines (or rather conversions) built exclusively for oilfield service. These were purchaced engines beefed up for oilfield sevice. I spoke to the Owner of the company on the phone approx. two years ago, Mr.Holtkamp, most all the production is documented. I have some information on these engines. I wrote an article in GEM about them several years ago. If interested please contact me. R. FARMER |

My late Grandfather, Clarence Holtkamp, did modify Kohler engines for oil field use just as you describe. These were used throughout the Midwest for many years. I have all of the original paperwork with manuals and serial numbers to date each engine. Anyone with interest in their Wind Wheel is more than welcome to contact me.
Thank you. |

I have pictures of one, but I do not have them digital to post. Keep looking, though. As soon as my dad sends them to me they will be posted.
