I believe the 16 h.p. Frick traction engine is one that Tom Terning of half-scale Case fame used to own and reboilered, as I don't see any rivets on the barrel of the boiler.

He did, however, reuse the original riveted steam dome. I saw this and the many other engines he used to own back in 1984 when I went to Valley Center, KS to pick up my half-scale Case.

OK, I'm out of the loop on this one. I was not aware that Alan had passed on. What happened? I hadn't talked to him for a few years. He used to come to Boonville show every now and then.

Yes that is the tractor that Tom reboilerd and yes he reused the steam dome on it. I worked in his shop when that work was done and have had the pleasure of running it at Toms place.

Tom - Alan passed away in the spring of this year. Obituary was in Steam Traction a few issues ago. This is hearsay - I heard that he came home in the evening from a hard days work, had supper, did his bible reading, and went to bed. Wife discovered the next moring that he had passed away he was in his early 50's. The only good thing is we can rest assured that he is in a better place.

Karen is going to keep the Danuser 25 hp cc Canadian Special. She will also keep her Keck-Gonnerman.

I am sending along a photo of this Reeves taken by my friend Mark Ohlde when they were breaking alfalfa ground a couple of years ago with a 10 bottom Cockshutt plow.
