Default Pix's only half dowload

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Anyone have a clue why on Harry's and ebay my cyberbox only loads half of a picture? Using Window XP Home with 1 GB SDRAM and a 26.4kbs dial-up.

TIA

Rick:

Yer prob, pal, is that it's so dad-burned cold there in Montana that the 'puter freezes before it has time to load the pics.

'Ya might try getting rid of all your cookies and stored web pages. Maybe that'll help.........Maybe not.

Take care - Elden

I'll try to be a little more specific. When viewing a thread that has a lot of pictures like on some of the steam threads, only ~half of each picture (top half) shows up and then it's like something times out. F5'ing multiple times will finally get the job done.

Thanks fer lookin'
Rick

Rick...........with your FABULOUS internet connection your browser is most likely timing out. When you go to refresh (the part of the page that DID load is cached) the page continues to load from that point.
A partial solution is satellite--OR--move closer to civilization.............
See you in chat.............if your connection can handle it...

Well.. I had the Same Problem.. On a Wet day like the last few I would only connect at 14.4 Kbps... On a Dry day from 19.6 to 24. Couldn't look at pics. Couldn't load chat. Now have a Dish and can download at from 507 to 520 K. On Ebay pics are there faster than I can look at them.

Nope.... Direct TV and internet don't seem to mix. This is a Wildblue dish. http://www.wildblue.com/ There is a limit to how much you can use it but I seem to be only using 1/10 of mine. And you get 10 MB of webspace...
