Quite often it is muddy. But one year a few years ago it was warm, windy and extremely dusty. The last two years the auciton field has been covered with layers of ice and snow.

"Beiler's sale" Is like a Steam & Gas Engine show but you don't have to take care of your engines! A great day to be in Lancaster County PA. Come early, stay late. Lots of good people, food, can be muddy, Ice, Snow, dust, cold, hot What have I forgot!
O yea Lots of stuff to bid on!!!

I've been to Beilers for the last 16 years only missed 2. And that was for back operations. I look forward to it every year - you never know what will show up. One thing I do know is that if there are two things i want to bid on, they will go off at the same time 4 rows apart. It's all in the fun running back and forth through 2 feet of mud. Can't wait to do it this year. Maybe carrying engines through that mud is what caused my back problems. I hope I can carry one through the mud this year. My wife is coming this year, but only to carry the checkbook.

If for no other reason it's worth going to Beiler's auction for the Amish home made pies! Oh, yeah, they sometimes have some engines to bid on too. Hope to see some of you there.

Thursday they sell machine shop stuff and one of the fields of miscellaneous treasures (a lot of newer and old farm equipment).

Friday is the day they sell the engines starting anywhere from 10:30 to noon. They also sell the other field of treasures and tractors on Friday. They sell cast iron seats and literature on Friday, too.

Both days they have several wagon loads of small stuff.

I'm sure I've forgotten something.

If you can only come one day and you're an engine or tractor collector Friday is the day you want to be there.

Both days they have several auctioneers going at the same time (somethimes up to 4 or 5).

According to the ad in Lancaster Farming New equipment, used farm equipment, [newer] tractors, miscellaneous (new and used tools, shop equipment, etc) will sell on Thursday.

Antique tractors and crawlers and parts, antique gas engines, miscellanoeus antiques, cast iorn seats and literature will sell on Friday. Gas engine "rings" will sell around noon (in my experience they start between 11 and 12).

Auction starts at 8:30 each day and continues until everything is sold.

If this year is similar to other years there will be row upon row of treasures in various states of repair (or disrepair) sold each day.

There's a place to click on the left for Beiler's Auction if this link doesn't take you directly to the ad.
