Default Lincwelder wiring

Hey all! I'm looking for some help to find the wiring schematics for a lincwelder 225 DC. I labeled all of them before I took each one off but as I got this second hand I don't know if it was wired proper to begin with. Any help would be appreciated!

It should be on Lincoln's web site, www.lincolnelectric.com
You'll need both model & Code numbers

I've not had much luck online with the lincoln website. This welder being from '63 gives out model #, type # and serial # on the main tin plating but it's coded differently than what lincoln uses nowadays for identification. The parts guy even asked me about three times and argued that I wasn't looking in the right spot. But when he called the lincoln guys directly he was surprised that they did have record of it but they had to dig out the microfiche to find it. The parts guy even told me that their service tech may not even touch it being as old as it is, and they in all likelihood don't have a manual on hand anyway. So I figured I might as well learn about this welder myself, seeing as how I'm probably going to be the only one to fix it!

I'll fully agree with you that Lincoln's web site is on the low end of the user friendly scale. It seems to fit in with the rest of their current business plan. If you aren't a major user or a box store peddling their offshore crap, you aren't likely to get a lot of information out of them.

If this isn't your machine, http://content.lincolnelectric.com//...r/im/IM244.pdf
drop back to this page, and go machine by machine till you find yours.

Thanks Franz, I was lucky enough to come across this manual befotre and have it downloaded. Unfortunately it only really covers the exploded view of all main parts components. Although helpful on ensuring a somewhat proper rebuild I'm still scratching my head about the wiring.

If you give me your email I have the diagrams your looking for. They are for a 1969 year model but should still be the same as yours.

No problem, they came straight from lincoln. Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi all. I have just joined this board. I found it while searching for info on my Lincwelder 225.

ChrisR, I am wondering if the info you have covers the Lincwelder 225 with the Lombardini Motori diesel engine model LDA 820? In any case though, I would really appreciate receiving the same info you sent to the other fellow in January. Thanks in advance for your help mate. Email addy is benny1974@hotmail.com

I went to a local Lincoln dealer when I was working on my OLD THD Wisconsin powered 180 DC. They had a wiring disgrham on file and made me a copy.
