Arrow Lister engine

I went and looked at a 1927 Lister model B-16 engine the other day. Missing fuel pump and mag, otherwise in very good shape. Haven't been able to find much info on this model. Are they a desireable engine? Would the missing bits be tought/expensive to get? It doesn't do much for me but I'd have to take it to get another engine I was looking at.

Cheers
NICK

The Lister A and B engines were one of the company's mainstays, and they sold thousands over the years.

Dating information here:

Factory data sheets here:

http://www.oldengine.org/members/die...nical/spec.htm

Note that the AK and BK are kerosene versions of the A & B petrol engines

Spares aren't too bad, but here in the UK they are easier to find that in the USA. I don't have your location so cannot say for sure.

Bits and pieces turn up on ebay quite regularly, and if you are serious about getting it running, I'll put feelers out for the parts.

Thanks for the info M8, much appreciated. I've still to make the old codger an offer, and then if he accepts it, decide if I want to bother with getting the Lister running or not.
