I believe the F-20 was built at the Farmall plant in Rock Island, Illinois. My uncle worked there for 30 years.

Hi Dave, reading from page 113 of 150 years of International Harvester by C.H.Wendel, it would appear that Mr. Wendel believes that most of the Famous,Titan,Mogul,M,L,LA & LB engines came from the Milwaukee Works, a property acquired in 1902 and formerly the Milwaukee Harvester Co.

Dave, the most type M engines were built in Milwaukee. From 1921 the production was increased by the Deering Works in Chicago. I have a 3hp M Deering made engine, every part has an extra "D" stamped in the casting. I don't know if these engines only were for export. My engine came from France and in the '20ths there was an importer that sold type M engines under the name Deering. John Hammink.
