Lawson Lawton sideshaft on Ebay

Hello -

Did anyone see the Lawson Lawton sideshaft on Ebay? It was there, then gone. I emailed the seller with a few questions, and he contacted me and said that he ended the auction because he had to leave the country on an emergency, but that the engine was still for sale. I emailed him back asking for some more detail, but would like to excercise caution, since you really never know if someone is being truthful. I'm also curious because I think the engine was offered for sale on Enginads, but it's no longer there.

Was also wondering where it when, & yes, that engine was on engine ads before for sale, but something may have come up,(family)
you never know, till the facts come out. from the seller. And any good seller should response, if he wants to keep in good faith with buyer's . Agreed

I got a response this morning stating he had to go to the UK on a last minute
change of plans and that the engine is $3000 including shipping. He had a new ebay account with no feed back, starting to sound a little fishy. Some one should find out were the engine is and ask to look at it. I think I'm staying clear of this one.

Hello All,

The engine your referring to is one that I own. The auction that was listed on ebay is yet another example of the identity/image/text theft that has been occuring on ebay. It was brought to my attention by another engine collector who knew something wasn't right. I reported it to ebay and they promptly removed the listing, although the filth that listed it is currently still an active user on ebay, so BEWARE. I have questioned ebay regarding this and am awaiting a reply. If the reply is something of value, I will post here for your information.
