Talking Old Evinrude engine.

Hi, I am buying an old Evinrude outboard engine and I do not know the year or horsepower. Does anybody know of a link or something that can help me figure it out? The serial number is 4423-86138. My email address is michael@gulfjanitorservices.com

Have you tried contacting an Outboard Marine dealer? (OMC)

This page may give you a ball park date:

Does it look like a 3HP? Was it a silvery light blue color?
Does it have a self contained fuel tank? No longer have our blue books, darn! Helen

Hey, wow, thank you so much for that link. It turns out it is a Evinrude 3.3 HP Motor in between the years of 1947 and 1951. That is great. Again, thank you George & Helen. By the way my sons live up there in Greensburg Pennsylvania.

Found the page one day when I was checking to see if Bombardier was continuing the Evinrude line. Happy to be of help! Greensburg is about 2 1/2 hours west of us.....Helen

Well the 3.3 model is a 1951 Evinrude. I got it for $93.00. I am excited to get it running. It does not have spark. Tomorrow I will know if I have the 1955 Evinrude. It is a good looking engine. Thank yall for your help.
