Default Hobart Wisconsin engine...

Have been given an older hobart gen/welder with a dead engine. (200A weld, 3kw gen, battery charger, not sure of the exact model, and its sitting 50 miles away right now) . Having some trouble determining the exact model of the engine.. Hobart doesn't have the old manuals online, the only reference I turned up to the engine model is "TUD-2", which the Wisconsin engine sites don't mention. (the closest model number mentioned is the THD, which isn't strong enough)

A saving grace, the only engine detail I actually need is the bolt circle around the output shaft. (it appears to be a trapezoid, the center hole is huge, and the welding head is single bearing upping the accuracy requirement to thou's. I would rather find an offical print than try to determine the exact center of the big hole.)

Default Re: Hobart Wisconsin engine...

Solved: Its not a TUD, but a TJD. Found a site selling adapter plates for pumps that had a good drawing. Turns out it is a 7.5" circle, with the top two holes 30 degrees from the centerline, the bottom two at 45 degrees. They even had the diameter of the spigot.

Now all I need is to find an apropriate hunk of 3/8 plate.
