Default Large old welder ?

I have recently came into possesion of an antique welder and am trying to find something out about it such as worth and possibly who it was made by. It is made to a trailer and is about 6-8 feet long, thought it was a generator at 1st till i raised the side panel and saw the controls said welding. It is powered by what looks to me to be a Ford flathead v-8 from around the late 40s-early 50s. I remember them very well as my 2nd car was a 50 Ford coupe.Motor looks good but the carb is off of it. All of the electrics look good and the radiator doesn't appear to leak. Just trying to find any info i can on this, it has 2 side panels on each side and of course the top cover, even has what looks to be a little bumper made to the rear of it. If someone has info on this or can tell me where to look for the info i would appreciate it. Thanks, Jerry

I have a 1949 Lincon Welder Code w 13901 TE-D0453 on a home made
trailer. It was my dad's first welder. He learned to weld in WW II. The welder is on our farm near Strathmore Alberta Canada. Would appreciate any iinformation regarding value.

there should be a data plate with this info on it of who the maker is, my guess would be that this machine has a shultz generator on it about 400 amp solid copper and heavy as a locamotive, the worth of the machine would rest on rather it runs or not and if it sparks, but before you try and crank it you must check out the windings to make sure they are tight and the varnish on the windings is good and not rotten and check all wiring to make sure there are no ground out' after all you want to live to tell about your adventures
