Default Question about values of engines

I have a 20 hp South Penn/Oil City Boiler oil field engine. A fellow saw it and now he wants it. I told him I would take $3200 for it. This engine was restored several years ago. The crankshaft bearings were re-poured, the cross-head bearings were re-poured, the cylinder was honed, new rings installed and the valve was ground. This engine has the correct fuel valve and the "hurry up" valve also. The flywheels are matching (Both are gas engine flywheels). It was painted a few years ago but it needs paint again. It also has a new reproduction hot tube.
The man that wants it has offered me a trade. He wants to trade me a 15hp Fairbanks-Morse type "Y" engine. His engine is on metal skids with a new screen cooled tank. I heard it run and it sounds fine.
I don't really have any attachment to my South Penn but I don't want to give it away.
Now the question, would you trade even?

Personally I would'nt just because I like oil field engines, but, as far as value wise, to me, I think it's about even.

Value is what someone will pay or trade for your engine, and if you both strike a deal that you are both comfortable with, then fine.

As far as the specific engines go, their condition and presentation will make the value shift either way, and without any pictures it is difficult to establish what either is worth.
