Not sure what the exchange is but sounds high to me? Hard to say without knowing condition. 500.00 in u.s. money would be at the high end.Depends on condition and history. BobRR

Dragsaw values differ a lot. The 2-strokes generally command the lower values. Since dragsaws are bulky, some motivated sellers turn up now and then. If you're not in a hurry and you do some shopping you could probably find a nice 2 stroke dragsaw for a lot less. |

I'm down here on the coast and that is a big dollar for a drag saw. If it is real nice with original decals etc and good frame $600.00 should be tops.
I have chance to get a hand operated drag saw. Has wood frame that extends out to log with small grapple to hold saw to log. The cross cut saw is supported beyond the log and you move handle back and forth to operate. Patent date 1902 in ecellent condition with original wood. The person I am talking too bought from the grandson of original purchaser. Hardly been used. But I don't know what it is worth? He wants $500.00 Canadian. Very unique. Any help? |

The hand drag saw I was wanting info on has no identification markings. Just the patent date. This is not home made however. It lets you use a two man cross cut saw with only one person. There is a small whell that rests on saw back to help with down pressure. Unit can be folded flat.

Dad and I bought an early R.M. Wade drag saw with battery ignition and complete a while back and gave $550.00 for it and had to rebuild the engine and remake the wood frame , which we did from white ash, had new decals made, so we likley have the $1000.00 you say the other fellow is asking for a running one in ours...and we are still trying to locate a clutch for ours..
