Default Maytag Fruit Jar Production?

Now that the the eBay sale of the Maytag Fruit Jar Instruction Booklet has ended I am curious how many of these motors were produced. What was the production figure?

The booklet ended at $293.88! See:

Thanks....Helen

Exclamation Re: Maytag Fruit Jar Production?

Helen,
I think the fruit jar was only made a year or 2 (1918-9). Because of gas spills, and fires caused by breakage of the jar, Maytag redesigned the engine, and recalled the fruit jar engine. One of the reasons for its rarity. Finding an original manual is harder than finding the engine itself

You forgot to mention the size of the page!

It's easier to understand the price of the booklet when you realize the buyer recently acquired the motor for the sum of 5100.

I would still like to know how many were produced!...Helen
