Default Port Crane, NY auction 5/6/2006

I attended an engine/tractor auction in Port Crane, NY, today. There were 35 to 40 engines -- ranging from complete, unrestored to "pile of parts on a skid, project engines." There were around 20 tractors (3 Silver Kings) --conditions ranged from very rough to running. There seemed to be a few bargains in the engine part of the sale -- I didn't stick around for the tractors. Sample prices: 4H Schramm-$425, 1 1/2 Little Jumbo -$450, Int LB-$100, Witte 7H -$700, 6H R&V /John Deere-$4000, 2H? Olds (pile of parts) -$800.
I got away clean -- didn't buy a thing (altho I am a little remorseful about not bidding a little more vigorously on some of the items.) I was telling myself that I was saving my strength for the Hudson NY auction, Next Sat. 5/13/2006.
I will try and attach a couple of pictures, if I remember how.

Thanx for this site Harry!

My notes were a little hasty -- it could very well have been a 10 hp -- nice engine!

I'm the guy that won the auction so I hope it is a 10hp R & V. The auctioneer confirmed the serial # and the first letter is an F so it is a 10. He said it was a running engine. Any other info you could provide on the condition would he helpful. Thanks, Joe

Nice auction. Does that auction have at least 12 rows start at 8 am have 2 auctioneers and go on for 10 hours like Hudson ? Because Hudson is some GREAT auction. And Dont forget the breakfast of champions right there at the show grounds
