hi to all. have a tjd with 2 stuck rings.soaked in penatrating fluid 4 2 months still stuck.tried...

hi to all. have a tjd with 2 stuck rings.soaked in penatrating fluid 4 2 months still stuck.tried heat and bees wax,still stuck.have extra head with valves piston rods 2.which way do i go.its a nice wisconsin with the distributor and coil type.ran good and strong 3+years ago but sat in rain since.

Soak it in diesel fuel a day or two. Try heating in a deep fryer at about 350-400 degrees with peanut oil. This should expand the aluminum enough to free the rings without hurting anything. Install a ring compressor and try to rotate it to break it loose. If this fails, take a razor saw and cut the piston away from the ring/rust matrix around the top of the ring land. Then recut the land to a standard size and fit the ring with a standard ring spacer.
