Default International Harvester/McCormick Serviceman's Magneto Guide Book

We have picked up a very nice and original Magneto book, published by IHC/McCormick in 1937 (70 years old next year!)

The book covers all the magnetos used by the company at the time, and gives adjustment/servicing information etc etc.

It is a 72-page publication, so it will take a while to scan, clean up and put on the website, but the first pages are ready for those who can't wait:

http://www.oldengine.org/members/die.../PetrolMag.htm

The sub-menu is "Magneto Service 11"

I'll try and do 10 pages each night until we have got it all up and running.

Original pages are fairly small but the typesetting is good and clear, so we have made the pictures large enough to be easily read on screen.

NOTE: We will soon be revising the layout of the magneto Menu page to make it easier and more logical, but only that one page will change, most url's will stay as they were before.

We have made some changes to the menuing system for the IHC book.

The main menu page for this book is now made up of thumbnails rather than just plain text links, which should make navigating around the pages a bit easier. (We may also add page interlinking at a later date)

For those who are on dial-up, the thumbnail page is going to be very slow to load every time you want to change a page view, as it has 72 thumbnails on it, so we have kept the original "Plain Text" menu page and this has been added to the main magneto menu page as "Magneto Service 12".

Every page has been changed so that this page can be accessed as well as the graphical menu, so you have a choice which menu page you jump back to from any of the pages.

The remaining 22 pages will be completed today, and they will have these new links as well.

Hope this addresses the concerns of those who contacted us about the problem.

Peter
