Default Help with 5hp Economy

Hi all my son and I are restoring a 1923 5hp Economy, and are wanting it to be a good draw at the shows. We are trying to find out where we can get an original gas fill spout, the one that goes on the side of the base. We are also trying to find a full set of brass grease cups or at least find out how to tell what sizes the ones on it are so we can maybe order them from a cattolouge. Any help we are thankfull for.

David

I have a 1923 5hp Economy, and our grease cups are all plain metal, not brass. They seem origional as they all fit perfectly. Have you ever started yours? We are having trouble starting ours.

Check www.hitnmiss.com to see if they have the grease cups. we got all kinds of parts for ours there.

my 1918 5HP economy wants nearly full choke to run and about 1 full turn out from closed on the needle. To start, I prime the cylinder, and put about a quarter cup of gas in the carb intake, it takes right off then.
check your checkball on your gas line and I hope your mag is good
