Default Fairbanks Morse Vertical 75hp

These are photos of two FM vertical Y models located in Point Coupee Parish, Louisiana. The first one is located just outside of New Roads, La. It use to run a cotton gin on the outskirts of town. It still has the tag and is 75hp. Just made a deal with the present owner to get it for Doug Waggonner. Does anyone know what it might weigh? The second one also ran a cotton gin on the LaCour plantation in the northern part of the parish(county). One is left hand rotation and the other is right handed. They were last run in the late 50's.

Nice big engines! I don't have any literature on the later direct start diesel fairbanks morse engines but the older model glow plug engine with 2 cyl at 75hp has a weight of 18000lbs. Probably very close to the same.----John
