Thanks Don , I was beginning to think that nobody was reading this message . Do you happen to know of any machinery collectors in that neck of the woods who would like some Australians to drop in to chat about machinery restoration , and compare notes ??? Cheers, Ken

I am sure we could find some folks in the area...what are your interests - engines, tractors, ??? My main interest personally is the engines (although I am fairly "new", with only 6 engines and about 10-15years messing around with them).

Also, August 6-8th there is a smaller engine & tractor show in Rushville, Indiana. Not as big as Portland, but just as interesting, and if your in the area anyway - why not come on by. Rushville is only about 2 hours south-west of Portland. Located at the intersection of State Route 44 and State Route 3. The show is held on the East side of town - just off the North side of State Route 44 - can not miss it.

Thanks for the suggestion Randy ...but Here is the BIG PICTURE.....I plan to bring about 20 Australian collectors and restorers of all that is mechanical , from tractors to stationary engines , with me . We arrive in CALGARY ,Canada for their rally on 10 August ---Fly into ATLANTA on 17 August ---Lawrenceburg TN rally 19/20 August ----Tour north to Portland IN --- Tri-State rally 25/26 August ---- Fly back to Australia 28 August . I`m just looking for extra visits that can be added between the fixed dates we already have . Do you know anybody involved in the Auburn-Cord-Deusenberg Museum ? WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED ???? Thanks , KEN
