One that was new in the crate was sold last month at Coolspring swap meet. I talked with the man and he knew a little about them. I may have his email address.

Hi there, This is my first post here I just got two Fairbanks, Morse motors that we can discuss later.
I do know a little about the motors you have a question about. I think you are referring to the Crosley motors Fageol converted to inboards. Uncommon in that they went through the bottom of the boat. As you turn the wheel the entire motor turns. They made an even less seen outboard version. I have 5 of the VIP (Vertical Inboard Power) motors. One in a boat, one supercharged red (Elgin) on a display stand, two nos crate motors and a used supercharged motor. I also have two outboards as well.
I will be more than happy to answer any of your questions that I'm am able
