Default Chicago Engine

Curious to know if any Chicago engines still exist like the remains of this one.It is a 4-cycle sideshaft marine engine with the cylinder mounted on 4 post and a reversing gear mounted on one end of the crankcase. A bronze rod and other nice features would have made it a very attractive engine if nature hadn't been so hard on it.Sure would like to see a photo or old advertisement to see what it looked like complete. John

John,
Didn't I just see a tag like that for sale on Ebay?
I thought it was in Hawaii, but the engine photo looked different from yours.
(if there was an engine photo with it. Now I'm confused)

Kevin---Yes- I purchased the nameplate on E-Bay and the seller sent some photos of the remains to me from Hawaii. Hopefully some Chicago engines survived better than this one,but who knows?---John

John,
I hope you find something. I'm naturally optimistic, and can't imagine anything being beyond restoration until I see a picture like that!
Surely some information or something will turn up here.
Kevin
