I posted a video in the "Going to Baraboo thread" but I'm afraid that thread will have a short life so I'm moving it here to keep things on the go.
Steve Barr was there so there will be MANY great pics on the way too.... Having BEEN at Baraboo today.........I couldn't resist filming our own John Davidson's 35hp Field-Brundage cam stopper engine...... As we were talking John wondered out loud if this might be the largest cam stopper out there........... If there IS a larger one I'm sure we'll ALL hear about it.......now......... Anyway.......here's a 29 second 1.3 meg WMV video for you. Please right click and save it. http://andersonofrosholt.com/mypics/...d_Brundage.wmv Last edited by Craig A; 08-19-2006 at 02:34 PM. |

We just got back from Boo, this afternoon, & it was a helluva show!!!
Lot of guys , including myself, thought it was one of the best one's, yet...& they've had some dandy's! It seems that the "Built in WI" feature was a huge hit! Here's a few pics, that I took: 1) 4-1/2hp Racine Sta-Rite headless, built in Racine, WI, 2) 4hp Hamilton sideshaft, built in Milwaukee, WI, 3) 2-1/2hp Globe vertical, built in Menomonie, WI, 4) 5hp Western King, built in Eau Claire, WI...ENJOY!!!

Thanks for posting the pix of my Globe and Western King, Randy. One small correction, the Western King is a 5 HP. The show was an absolute BBLLLAAASSSTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! Really got this old farts juices flowing. Wow is Steve barr ever hooked on those big old tractors. I understand he is trying to get Craig to adopt him. More later.

Well.... I got back about 9:00 Last night... Had a Great Time... Although the BS did get a little Deep Friday Night
Picked up a few Things in the Flea Market.... Met a couple New to me Stackers And the Same great Guys you see every year...Lots of Rare Made in Wisconsin Engines there.... About every place you looked there were Wisconsin / Lawson Lawton sideshafts... Along with other makes I had never seen before.... The Scale Model D John Deere in the Model Building was truly a Work of Art and is a Must See for anyone attending this show... The Baraboo Club Deserves a Big Thank You for a Great Well Organised Show...

Sounds like I missed a really good time. I had my engines loaded and ready to go but when I left to head to Baraboo on Saturday morning, it was so foggy that I couldn't see more than two to three car lengths ahead of me. With Baraboo being 125 miles from home and the route being full of hills and curves, I decided not to risk traveling through the fog. It took quite a while for the fog to burn off and by the time it did, I thought it just didn't make sense to make the journey.

Looks like next year's show, will feature "LESSER KNOWN TRACTORS". I haven't crossed over to the "Dark Side" yet, but I'm sure there's gonna be some interesting ones, there.
It's nice that a club has features like this, instead of the same old features, like JD, IHC & so on, all the time. Those are starting to get REAL OLD THANKS Baraboo for another GREAT year!!!

Hi Steve
Absolutely fantastic pix of the show. you made my old iron look ten times better then it really is. just a couple of notes. I bought the unknown engine that Steve Oswald had on his trailer. It's an Alma Jr. and the big old gray Nash Ambassador behind me and the Globe engine Is a 56 with 34,000 actual miles and it belongs to me. Iron Wolf |

I LIKE the sound of that cam stopper! It's got a nice powerful sound.
I wish I lived closer :P A 2,000 mile drive isn't too appealing... |
