Default reo Engine

I am wondering about the collectability of a small engine I saw. It was a small 2 stroke with a gear reduction box as part of the engine casting, this had a small pulley wich went to a larger pulley to further reduce spead and increase torque. It was mounted on what could be refered to as skids, but I dought they were orig..The gas tank was a small round tube type apx 4" in dia, and 10" long Seamed to be orig dark green paint, said REO on side in script lettering.....I could not find a refrence to reo in wendalls book.Is anyone familiar with this type of engine and as to what its orig use may have been??? As Always THANKS

Hi Eric Was the cylinder on a angle? If it is. it is probably a 4 cycle off of a REO (Robert E. Olds)self propelled reel lawnmower. Hope this helps.Bobrr
